Portland Classic Guitar is excited to offer classical guitar lessons with master classical guitarist William Jenks or one of his staff instructors through Marylhurst University (students enrolled at Marylhurst working toward a bachelor of arts degree in music) or privately through Portland Classic Guitar. These individual half hour lessons can be scheduled at a time that is most convenient for you. After you purchased this package of lessons, William will contact you to schedule your lessons. Portland Classic Guitar is an elite teaching studio. Students of all ages and skill levels receive a thorough grounding in every aspect of classical guitar performance from in-demand instructor William Jenks or from one of his other colleagues on staff. Jenks shares wisdom gleaned from years of studying with world-class teachers—including David Franzen, Bryan Johanson, Scott Kritzer, and Ken Johnson—and from his experience in the master classes of celebrated guitarists Christopher Parkening, Scott Tennant, Ricardo Iznaola, David Russell, Eliot Fisk, Angel Romero, Pepe Romero, and John Williams. Jenks’s students gain valuable performance experience in the quarterly recitals that are the highlights of the teaching year.
